Winding Down or Breaking down

...I'm not sure which I'm doing!? I had a very short pity party when my hard drive crashed recently, followed by a furious weekend of productivity. then today I learned that two of my classmates accidently deleted massive amounts of their final project and had to completely recreat their projects.

I'm especially hurting for my friend Jen cause she is so OVERLY consciencous and is the LAST person this should happen to. So I reminded her to keep her focus on the big picture - - what a great teacher she is and how she is going to change lives and how this project and this final term WILL be behind her soon

I guess that tells me a season is winding down and there's no reason to "break down!" I look forward to the life and work of being a teacher and to the adventure of figuring out where that will be?!

...until your computer crashes...

Yo home skillet,

What up?! I'm so down with the whole blog-o-sphere...until the computer crashed. I was able to restore it back a few weeks (a few days didn't seem to solve the problem) so I'm not even sure whether I've lost things that I blogged before.

Truth is: I think this is a must for communicating with students who LIVE on the internet. Classes are so fast-paced and too full of students. If I can reach even a small percentage of students with some additional communication, I'll definitely use the blog.

Dragged Kicking and Screaming

Hi Friends!!

As part of an assignment for APU and Professor Brown, I not only created this blog, but I'm posting my first five blogs to demonstrate that I have actually created a tool that I know how to use. :-)

"TOOL" - that's the operative word. As a teacher I hope to develop enough tools in my educator's tool box to build up my students as self-regulated learners and as a community of co-educators. It's not enough for me to impart information and insights to students who are receivers. It is crucial that they become people who learn how to learn on their own and people who know how to mutually engage in learning and teaching with others.

Stay tuned for more tasty morsels of self-discovery and additional ruminations of this budding educator of young minds.

Blessed! Mr. Trev

My First Post

I just created this blog in about 2 minutes!! Very cool. My professor gave us two weeks notice about our technology assignment and in 2 minutes i already have a piece of it done.

At later dates I may actually have something interesting to say, but for now I'm just stoked to be A BLOGGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
